037: AFI film festival poster
a poster promoting the film adaptation of ‘part of the story’, based on a short story of the same name by stephen dobyns. a mother of 63 years is confronted by the five children she gave up for adoption over a career of heavy sexual activity. she tries to justify her decisions by assigning each of them a fake father (“they were all grand men”) and then creating an appropriate falsified history for each. once they discover the dead body of the previous night’s sexual conquest (a decent older gentleman named bert), she proceeds to recant her five previous fabrications and creates one sweeter story – that he is the father of all five of them.

034: it begins… again
this semester: graphic design and color theory. the challenges ahead include hand renderings, client research and identity systems, logos, collateral stationary design, and another informational poster.
my client for this go round is ZeroG… a company which offers the experience of zero gravity (at a hefty cost) to thrill seekers. it involves going up in a plane that is custom built for parabolic flight… going up and down at sever arcs so one might experience zero gravity (and/or watching your vomit float…). more info here.

029: indesign can kiss my ass
desperately trying to wrap up this travel brochure.
just realized that i forgot about a beer i opened 2.5 hours ago and left it sitting on the counter. that’s what this software will do to you.
still trying to figure out some basic facts about this program. for instance… why the hell is the color picker so weird/different?
i just wanna make a color darker and instead i can make it… a bunch of other colors that aren’t what i’m looking for. rawr.
